- Willaim Jr. picked up the name Willie so as not to be called Jr. That name stuck with him through out his life and his marker even reads Willie Taff.
This info was given by Wilburn Francis Taff and his wife and was recorded in the Bible of William Taff Sr. which William Jr. and his wife had in their possession. - RD Stone
